Berto Lee is a Chilean born Swedish photographer who spends time on capturing images of his closest queer environment through intimate meetings, working with the male body as a landscape where the feeling is in focus rather than the visual experience.
Between the peaceful and quiet, also chaos rises in the visual game where activism through demonstration portrays in photojournalistic veins.
Through his imagery Berto wants to challenge the spectator from warmth to cold, joy and melancholy, from lust to disgust where borders of reality and fantasy collide.
The last 12 years Berto has been living, studying and working abroad in different parts of the world collecting a great archive of analogue photos. To be able to take part of another human beings life and development where culture meets empathy has always been in focus for Bertos visual imagery.
